FAQs

How do your service tiers work?

1

My services are modular, allowing you to choose the level of conceptual exploration that fits your project. For covers, tiers range from an Essential single-direction process to an Extended process with five unique creative directions . For interiors, I offer Reading, Picture, or Art/Coffee Table layouts based on the visual density and complexity of your content.

What is the difference between a "Creative Direction" and a "Revision"?

2

Creative Directions are the initial visual strategies, concepts, or layout systems I propose at the start of a project. A Revision Round consists of a consolidated set of feedback applied to one selected creative direction to polish and refine it. New concepts or entirely different visual approaches are considered additional creative directions.

How is the design scope calculated?

3

The scope is based on the page count, overall complexity, and visual density of your content. Standard tiers include specific page ranges (e.g., 80–240 pages for a Reading Book) and a set level of complexity. Projects with exceptionally image-dense or experimental layouts may require custom scope adjustments.

What files will I receive at the end of the project?

4

As standard, I provide print-ready PDF files and digital mockups to showcase your book. InDesign (INDD) source files are available as an add-on deliverable if you require the original production files for your records.

My pricing is flexible. You can add:

  • Extra pages at a fixed rate per page (e.g., 2€–6€ depending on complexity).

  • Additional revisions beyond the included rounds at an hourly rate.

  • Additional creative directions if you wish to explore more concepts than your tier provides.

What happens if I need more pages or revisions than my tier includes?

Do you provide support during the printing process?

6

Yes. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English, which allows me to manage projects and handle the unique typographic challenges of both languages. I also have extensive experience laying out German content, ensuring that rhythm, spacing, and hyphenation are technically perfect regardless of the manuscript's language. Swedish is my mother tongue, and while I haven't used it professionally, I am technically capable of handling layouts in Nordic scripts.
